On Friday afternoon, the 88 drivers of the OK World Championship alternated with the Junior drivers.

After a relatively calm start, the situation was changing rapidly as the first session continued. Joshua Dufek (KR / Iame) of Switzerland was the fastest with 43”211 against Joseph Turney (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Lorenzo Travisnutto (KR / Iame), all within less than a tenth. Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) took 4th place ahead of Matias Salonen (KR / Iame).

Taylor Barnard (KR / Iame) was fast early on in the second session, but Ben Dörr (KR / Iame) and Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex) battled for 1st place. Barnard returned to the front ranks, but finished 3rd by 32 thousandths while Smal posted 43.24 seconds, 5 thousandths ahead of Dörr. Matheus Morgatto (Tony Kart / Vortex) beat Lorenzo Fluxa Cross (KR / Iame) in the top five. Dexter Patterson (KR / Iame) was only 9th with a 0.264″ gap.

Dilano Vant’hoff (Exprit / TM) was quickly in action in the third session ahead of Kobe Pauwels (KR / Iame) and Hugo Sasse (Parolin / TM). Then Lorenzo Patrese (KR / Iame) was in the lead, but Vant’hoff was finally the fastest with 43”281, the provisional 5th time. Sasse finished 2nd at 61 thousandths, Patrese 3rd by less than a tenth. Atte Salmenautio (Tony Kart / Iame) took 4th place ahead of Pauwels and Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Iame). Apparently uncomfortable on this track, Luigi Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) has to be satisfied with 21st position.

Juho Valtanen (Redspeed / Iame) attacked the fourth session side by side with Rasmus Joutsimis (Energy / Iame), but Gabriele Mini’ (Parolin / TM) slammed pole position and improved to 43”170 which kept Valtanen in 2nd position by 7 thousandths. Nikolas Pirttilahti (KR / Iame) took 3rd place 54 thousandths further back ahead of Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Olin Vieira Galli (CRG / Iame).

The poleman Mini’ was followed in the general classification by Valtanen and Dufek, then Pirttilahti and Smal in the top five ahead of Dörr in 6th, Barnard 7th, Vant’hoff 8th, Beganovic 9th and Vieira Galli 10th.
