We were expecting a duel between Paolo Besancenez (FRA – Sodi) and Luca Munaretto (ITA – Birel ART) in the DD2 Final of the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy. However, it was Xander Przybylak (BEL – Tony Kart) and Dionisios Liveris (GRC – Tony Kart) who attacked Besancenez on the second lap while Munaretto was 4th. The Frenchman came back to 2nd place, but Munaretto and Matthias Njeim (LBN – Birel ART) passed him without hesitation. Munaretto then caught up with Przybylak in a few laps and an interesting pack of five drivers were in the lead. The powerful attacks continued on each lap. Munaretto took the lead at halfway and immediately took off in front of Przybylak. Further behind, Nicolas Picot (FRA – Tony Kart) reached 12th place with a gain of 18 places. Besancenez managed to attack Liveris to settle in 2nd place, while Njeim overtook Ville Villiainen (DNK – Tony Kart) for 4th position. Munaretto scored a nice win with a lead of 2”. Besancenez was classified 5th after a spoiler penalty, so Liveris was ranked 2nd, Njeim 3rd and Villiainen 4th.
