Bernier fights with Raccamier in the Mini Prefinal

Augustin Bernier (FRA – KR) and Jolan Raccamier (FRA – Birel ART) shared the front row of the grid for the Mini Prefinal at the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy at Le Mans. Several drivers lost out on the first lap: Alexandre Monnot, Paul Alberto and Alessandro Giusti gave up, Karel Schulz (FRA – Parolin) fell to 21st and Simon Birch Kristensen (DNK – Birel ART) to 26th. Raccamier attacked on the third lap, Luigi Di Lazzaro (BRA – Intrepid) returned to 2nd place ahead of Arthur Poulain (FRA – KR) and Bernier. The race was far from decided. Bernier managed to get back into the wheel tracks of Raccamier, Kimi Durosne (FRA – Top Kart) followed Di Lazzaro with Valentin Hervas (FRA – Birel ART) in his wake. Bernier recovered the lead at the start of the last lap and narrowly won against Raccamier. Durosne finished 3rd ahead of Poulain and Hervas.
