Strauven and Nijs tied in Qualifying in Micro Rotax

Shortly before lunchtime, the 32 Micro drivers took to the Le Mans track for the timed session of the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy. Positions changed many times at the top of the rankings. The two GKS drivers Thomas Strauven (BEL – Exprit) and Lenn Nijs (BEL – Exprit) were a few hundredths ahead of Christian Costoya Sanabri (ESP – Tony Kart) and accelerated further towards the end to post an absolutely identical lap of 1’00” 949, although pole position was impossible to share. Christopher El Feghali (LBN – KR) reduced the gap to 59 thousandths and took 3rd place in the final seconds, while Anton Laksonen (FIN – Parolin) came back to 4th place by only a thousandth. Colin Wazny (POL-Parolin) finally completed the top five against Tommie Van Der Struijs (NLD – Parolin).
