De Conto drops out at Sarno

Two-time World Champion in KZ Paolo De Conto dropped out on Friday afternoon at the end of the Free Practice session of the second round of the KZ European Championship. An official CRG driver, the Italian experienced some disagreements with his engine manufacturer, TM Racing, and their collaboration, which had been particularly successful in 2016 and 2017, stopped at once, in the literal sense of the term. De Conto was 14th in the European Championship with 3 points scored at Wackersdorf. It is still too early to know the consequences of this divorce for the Italian’s career, one of the stars of the top category. On the other hand this regrettable episode confirms the importance of the engines in 125cc gearbox.
