Unlike the unfortunate habit of the OK and OK-Junior categories, the official Free Practice this Friday, 14th June attracted almost every driver from the first morning session. The teams did not lose an opportunity to perfect their preparation for the next Qualifying Practice in the afternoon. It must be said that for this second event, they could use the remaining tyres from Wackersdorf in addition to their entitlement.

The overwhelming heat in the Naples area gives a particular aspect to this beginning of competition. In temperatures exceeding 35°, everything becomes more complicated, such as finding a place in the shade, or remaining completely calm under the helmet.

In KZ2, Giuseppe Palomba (Croc Promotions / TM) was the fastest in free practice on Friday, 14th June, with several fastest times in the various sessions, and posted a very convincing lap of 56”495. Riccardo Longhi (BirelART / TM) repeatedly stated his ambition through excellent times, including the 2nd fastest at 0.151″ from the leader. Giacomo Pollini (Formula K / TM) and Jean Nomblot (Sodi / TM) were in the top five ahead of Martijn Van Leeuwen (KR / Iame), David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex), Leonardo Marseglia (BirelART / TM) and Paolo Besancenez (Sodi / TM). Championship leader Emil Skaras (Energy / TM) was not yet very impressive.

In the Academy Trophy, Elliott Vayron (FRA) was simply the fastest in official free practice more than a tenth ahead of Christian Ho (SGP) and Lucas Staico (BRA). Paolo Ferrari (ITA) and Kajus Siksnelis (LTU) completed the top five while Mattéo Sprigel (FRA) came in 6th. Ranked in the top 10, Maxime Furon-Castelain (LUX) was ahead of Robert De Haan (NLD), 12th.

Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart / Vortex) proved to be the fastest KZ in the last free session with a time of 56”264, followed by only 61-thousandths by Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) and Marijn Kremers (BirelART / TM). Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) completed the top five.
