Grava and De Haan win the first heats of the Academy

The first heat of the B-C Academy Trophy was wet, but the track dried very quickly and the positions were constantly changing. Paolo Ferrari (ITA) lost the lead to Magnus Germansen (DNK), who was then replaced by Lucas Mendes (BRA). The only driver on slicks, Karlis Grava (AUT) got the better of his compatriot Charlie Wurz (AUT) for 2nd place and managed to overtake Mendes to win after gaining 20 positions. Germansen finished 4tg ahead of Lucas Bohdanowicz (POL) and Ferrari. Mattéo Spirgel dropped to 20th position.

The 2nd A-D was in slicks, but the track was still slippery and an incident involving several karts shortly after the start triggered the Slow procedure. Robert De Haan (NLD) led Christian Ho (SGP) and Baptiste Nicolas (COL). Ho made the mistake at the end of the race as the rain returned. De Haan won against Fuki Tanaka (JPN) +11 and Baptiste, Elliott Vayron (FRA) took a good 4th place and Maxime Furon-Castelain (LUX) 6th. 13 out of 25 drivers had given up.
