Although slightly overcast, the weather was still sunny and warm at Angerville for the start of the FIA Karting European Championship – OK Final. The first row of Dexter Patterson (KR / Iame) and Juho Valtanen (Redspeed / Iame) was explosive at the start ahead of Gabriele Mini’ (Parolin / TM) and Dilano Van T’Hoff (Exprit / TM). Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex) had problems on the formation lap. Nicolas Picot (Kosmic / Iame) was caught in a collision; and Luigi Collucio (Birel ART / TM), Joseph Turney (Tony Kart / Vortex), Maya Weug (Birel ART / TM) and Thomas Imbourg (Kosmic / Iame) did not complete the first lap.

Patterson led the race in front of Mini’ and Valtanen, Taylor Barnard (KR / Iame) was 4th in front of Van T’Hoff, Kas Haverkort (CRG / TM) and Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Iame). Valtanen was quick to overtake Mini’ for 2nd place, 8 tenths behind the leader. Patterson worked hard to keep his lead, even though Valtanen nibbled away a few hundredths each time. The pack also stretched out behind the leaders. At the end of the race, Valtanen seemed to have given up the idea of ??defeating Patterson, but Mini’ came back to him. Positions, however, did not change until Patterson’s victory over Valtanen and Mini’. Bernard finished 4th in front of Van T’Hoff. Franck Chappard (Redspeed / Iame) finished 21st, the only Frenchman at the finish.
