Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) immediately took the lead in the KZ2 Final followed by Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) against Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) who had been in pole position. A duel opened between De Conto and Abbasse, allowing Ardigo to take a few steps ahead. Giacomo Pollini (Formula K / TM) was then in 3rd position, Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) was 5th ahead of Fabian Federer (Maranello / TM). Abbasse attacked Ardigo and took the lead on lap 8 of the 22 laps of the race. De Conto put pressure on Pollini and came back at half distance in a battle for 3rd. But the slow flag made its appearance on lap 12 following an incident, a water leak on a kart having caused several crashes.
The race was restarted four laps later, Abbasse kept the lead against Ardigo, but De Conto quickly went on the offensive to gain 2nd position. The Italian threatened the Frenchman, without success. Anthony Abbasse won the top category of the 2019 Winter Cup, accompanied by De Conto and Ardigo on the podium at Lonato. Pollini took 4th place ahead of Marijn Kremers (Birel ART / TM) from 14th position. Renaudin was 7th behind Federer.
