Although he has often competed at the Rotax World Finals, the Belgian Xen De Ruwe has never managed to win. Will he get there this year as he races this time under the colours of the Slovenian flag? There is a real probability because De Ruwe has won all three heats.

Another specialist in the category, but never a winner, the American Daniel Formal (entered by Team Croatia), won two heats and will start on pole in Prefinal B. Australian poleman Ryan Kennedy has dropped to 6th behind Italy’s Claudio Pagliarani, Austria’s Taylor Greenfield and Australia’s Ryan Kennedy.

Of the French, the potential is there for Nicolas Picot and Paolo Besancenez, 9th and 10th respectively.
