Coming from all over the world, the 367 drivers competing in the 19th edition of the Rotax World Final and their companions arrived in the extreme east of Brazil, more than 2000 kilometres north of Rio De Janeiro, at the Paladino international circuit.
For many, this expedition to the largest country in South America started with discovering the surroundings.
Outside of the big cities, where we see the Americanisation of society, we are eager to meet the charming Brazilian people, and to discover more typical places.
Of course, one cannot help being attracted by the coast and its long sandy beaches, dotted with straw huts selling good fish, meat skewers and caipirinha!
The Paladino circuit has been built between Joao Pessoa and Recife, not far from Conde. The local police are omnipresent, reminding us that the country can be dangerous in places.
