Enzo Scionti the top American in the World Junior Championship

Absent from the 2018 European Championship, Enzo Scionti made a brilliant comeback on the international Karting scene during the World Championship held at the Kristianstad circuit in Sweden. In a strong field of 113 drivers, Enzo played a major role in the leading pack. He finally finished 14th in the Final, but above all, the top American driver on the board.

For Enzo Scionti, the meeting began with a very convincing performance in Timed Practice where he finished in 11th position. Subsequently, the driver from Texas only confirmed his potential, ranking in the top five several times in Qualifying Heats despite changing and difficult weather conditions.

In the Final, Enzo found himself in a particularly lively pack, where he never stopped fighting, often against more experienced opponents. Thanks to his speed and determination, he earned his place among the world elite by crossing the finish line in 14th place thanks to his performance on the CRG-TM Racing prepared by the factory CRG team.

“Because of the missed European Championship, Enzo has done much less than his rivals,” said his team. “Despite everything, he was very impressive, while not making mistakes. However, both quality and quantity were at the meeting in Sweden during this Junior World Championship, which brings together every year the future hopefuls of motorsport.”

Of all the North American drivers racing in Sweden, Enzo Scionti was the best.
