Travisanutto on pole of the OK World Championship at Kristianstad

The sky was overcast for the start of Qualifying Practice of the OK World Championship at Kristianstad. The temperatures remained quite high, even oppressive. Mattia Michelotto (KR / Parilla) and Hannes Janker (KR / Parilla) competed for 1st place in the first session. The surprising Olin Galli Vieira (CRG / Parilla) joined them in the top three. Janker posted the benchmark time, the only under 51”, in 50”997 or 2 tenths fastest than Galli Vieira. Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) followed in 3rd position a thousandth ahead of Michelotto. Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) was 6th behind Rasmus Joutsimies (Tony Kart / Vortex). Jules Mettetal (Birel ART / TM) finished 12th and Evan Spenle (Kosmic / Parilla) 17th.

 

Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Parilla) settled at the top of the second session, then responded to the fastest lap of Ren Sato (Drago Corse / TM). Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) was 3rd ahead of Alexey Brizhan (Tony Kart / Vortex). Travisanutto finished with a 50”716 lap that gave him the provisional pole. Viktor Öberg (Gillard / Parilla) was 2nd at 0.331 ” ahead of Sato, Edgar and Brizhan.

 

Luigi Coluccio was the star of the third session with his fastest lap of 50”783 placing him in 2nd place overall. He outdistanced Jorge Pescador (Praga / Vortex) by 0.159”, while Yannick De Brabander (Praga / Vortex) was close behind in 3rd position. Viktor Gustafsson (Kosmic / Vortex) was 4th ahead of Callum Bradshaw (CRG / TM) and David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex). There was 9th place for Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / TM) and 12th for Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex). Franck Chappard (Redspeed / Parilla) finished only 21st.

 

In the last session, spared by the rain, Dexter Patterson (KR / Parilla) was ahead of Axel Saamiala (Kosmic / Vortex) and Tijmen Van Der Helm (KR / Parilla) by setting a time of 50”782 which placed him 2nd overall. Noah Milell (Tony Kart / Vortex) was finally 4th ahead of Bastian Buus (Tony Kart / Vortex). Marijn Kremers (Birel ART / TM) finished 9th behind Juho Valtanen (Kosmic / Vortex) and Vincent Fraïsse (Birel ART / TM) was 16th.

 

Travisanutto retained pole position from the second session against Patterson, Coluccio was 3rd ahead of Saamiala, Pescador 5th, Van Der Helm 6th, De Brabander 7th and Janker 8th.
