The comparison of performance between this European Championship weekend and the 2014 World Championship is striking. Certainly, several criteria have changed. Firstly the category is lighter, the maximum speed is higher, and the tyres are different: Dunlop in 2014 against Bridgestone in 2018. On the other hand the temperatures are significantly higher, almost 35°, and the surface of the track was recently renewed.

That said, the gain between the 2014 KFs and the 2018 OKs is over five seconds! The OK-Junior are on average three seconds faster than the KF-Junior, both using Vega. The gap between KF and KF-Junior was of the order of 7 to 8 tenths in 2014, but the gap between OK and OK-Junior is today more than two seconds.
