Last word goes to Albanese ahead of De Figueiredo and Zanfari in the Final of the Academy

Sami Meguetounif took full advantage of his pole position and completed the first lap in the lead. Although Federico Albanese was in the wheeltracks of the Frenchman, they had already pulled out a small gap to the pack. Guilherme De Figueiredo was 3rd, then came back on the lead duo early in the race.

Suleiman Zanfari had a great start and was 4th, having overtaken the chasing pack. Jose Maria Navalon Boya retained his 5th place, while Jak Crawford gained two positions.

A good fight started at the front, Albanese and De Figueiredo successively managed to pass Meguetounif. The laps were counting down and Albanese appeared to be the strongest. He managed to escape, leaving De Figueiredo and Meguetounif to fight. Their duel allowed Zanfari to come back after a superb effort. The Moroccan was unleashed. He overtook Meguetounif and attacked the Brazilian, and ended up ensuring a superb podium.

The Italian Albanese won ahead of the Brazilian Figueiredo and the Moroccan Zanfari. The Frenchman Meguetounif had to settle for 4th place, while his compatriot Craig Tanic dropped back early in the race and could do no better than 30th.

The Spaniard Jose Maria Navalon Boya scored significant points by finishing 5th and thus retains the points lead by four points against Meguetounif. Navalon Boya beat Austria’s Marcel Kuc and American Jak Crawford. The fastest lap came from Sweden’s Theo Wernersson, 8th in the Final behind the Lithuanian Kajus Siksnelis.
