Twists in the last OK heats

The last Qualifying Heats of the European Championship for OK at Sarno were complicated because of the use of new tyres by some drivers in search of qualification. The hierarchy

was sometimes much disrupted.

Hannes Janker (KR / Parilla) won heat E-F ahead of Mattia Michelotto (KR / Parilla). Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / TM) managed to recover his 3rd place after some trouble early in the race and Noah Milell (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 4th in front of Lorenzo Ferrari (Exprit / Vortex). Marijn Kremers (Birel ART / TM) took 11th place, Franck Chappard (Redspeed / Parilla) finished 15th. Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) lacked competitiveness and lost 10 places to 19th position.

Roman Stanek (Kosmic / Vortex) clearly dominated the C-D heat and won by 3”. For 2nd place, Christopher Lulham (Exprit / TM) ended up defeating his teammate Dexter Patterson (Exprit / TM), David Rozenfeld (Tony Kart / Vortex) going 3rd ahead of Kas Haverkort (CRG / TM). Alex Irlando (Sodi / TM) finished in 7th place. Luigo Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) and Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) fell respectively to 11th and 12th.

The last heat A-B was also not lacking twists. Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) had to give up 1st place to Olin Vieira Galli (CRG / TM), then was passed by David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) at the end of the race. Leader until then, Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) was also struggling and ended up retiring after a spin. Viktor Gustafsson (Kosmic / Vortex) was 4th in front of Hugo Sasse (KR / Parilla) while Tom Joyner (Sodi / TM) reached 6th position with a gain of 13 places. Jules Mettetal (Kosmic / Parilla) finished 18th.
