Like last year, the French F4 Championship will start at the traditional Easter Cup at the magnificent Paul Armagnac circuit of Nogaro. The FFSA Academy has prepared for the new season in great detail, and it will take place using the Mygale F4 single-seaters meeting FIA standards, equipped with a carbon hull and a Renault Sport 2-litre engine with 160 horsepower.

20 drivers of seven different nationalities will compete to follow the footsteps of many champions, like Pierre Gasly, who competed in the 2011 French F4 Championship and a current F1 driver. The quality of the field already anticipates close duels for the podium. All had the opportunity to refine their physical, mental and sporting preparation at the training centre of the French Federation of Motor Sport. Some repeaters will battle against young drivers, mainly from karting. A busy schedule awaits the academicians with Free Practice and Qualifying, followed by three races spread out on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd April.

After Nogaro, the French F4 Championship will visit some of the most beautiful European circuits: Pau City, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Dijon, Magny-Cours, Jerez in Spain and Paul Ricard-Le Castellet. At the end of the season, the winner will join the Renault Sport Academy and will receive a prize of €100,000 before tax to facilitate access to a higher level formula in 2019.
