Mini the poleman in Junior at the Winter Cup

In the first OK-Junior timed session of the Winter Cup, the battle raged between Francesco Pizzi (Birel ART / TM) and Paul Aron (FA Kart / Vortex), but the RFM driver improved on the very last lap to sign a reference time of 48”931 in front of the Italian. Laurens Van Hoepen (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 3rd place, Kai Askey (FA Kart / Vortex) came back to 4th and Sebastian Montoya (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 5th. There was a beautiful performance for Isack Hadjar (Exprit / TM) in 7th position.

Gabriele Mini (Parolin / Parilla) accelerated the pace in the second session and went under the 49” mark while Taylor Barnard (KR / Parilla) came back in front of Alessandro Cenedese (Parolin / TM), then Rafael Camara (Kosmic / Vortex). Mini posted provisional pole with 48”824, Alfio Spina (CRG / TM) followed him at a distance of 0.189”, Edoardo Villa (TB Kart / TM) was 3rd ahead of Luca Griggs (Exprit / Vortex) and Barnard. Victim of an ignition problem, Hadrien David (Kosmic / Vortex) remained at the bottom of the table.

Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 1st in the third session – 48”906 – slightly slower than the previous one. He was ahead of Zak O’Sullivan (FA Kart / Vortex) and Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart / Vortex). Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 4th against Gabriele Bortoleto (CRG / TM). Sami Meguetounif (Formula K / TM) took a good 7th place, Marcus Amand (KR / Parilla) came back to 10th ahead of Enzo Trulli (CRG / TM).

Mini, Smal, Aron were the top three of these times, with Pizzi and Van Hoepen completing the top five. Meguetounif was 20th, Hadjar 25th, Amand 30th and the unlucky David 81st so strong heats will be needed.
