The last Qualifying Heats of the Junior World Championship delivered their verdict Sunday morning under the sun of PFI. With another victory to his credit, Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) reinforced his lead at the top of the 94 OK-Juniors. Chris Lulham (Exprit / TM) returned to 2nd on a tie with Dexter Patterson (Exprit / TM), with the British drivers ahead of Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) and Aleksey Brizhan (Tony Kart / Vortex). Antoine Potty (Kosmic / Parilla) had a formidable performance coming back to 8th just behind Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex). Among the achievements of this high-risk qualifier, Shihab Al Habsi returned from 43rd to 15th place, Frederik Kikkenborg (Energy / Parilla) from 53rd to 23rd. Jules Mettetal (Kosmic / Parilla) was the top Frenchman in the 18th place, Victor Bernier (Tony Kart / Vortex) was very honorably 21st ahead of Luigi Coluccio (Birel ART / TM) who paid dearly for his lack of a transponder in a heat. Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) came back to 26th despite several incidents and Sami Meguetounif (Tony Kart / Vortex) was just 34th.
