The weather was cloudy on Saturday at the Åsum Ring. A few drops of rain fell without actually reducing grip, then the drivers of the European Junior Championship were confronted with a drying track on Sunday morning.

After taking 4th and 7th places in Qualifying, Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) and Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) each won three races. Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) was in 3rd position in front of Hugo Sasse (CRG / Parilla) with a victory each, Sasse losing the benefit of his second victory to Jules Mettetal (Kosmic / Parilla) after a bad maneouvre. Rasmus Joutsimies (FA Kart / Parilla) took 5th place in front of Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Dexter Patterson (Exprit / TM). Among the other contenders for the title were Christopher Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla) 11th, Ilya Morozov (Tony Kart / Vortex) 13th, Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG / Parilla) 18th behind Jules Mettetal, the top Frenchman at this stage as Hadrien David Zanardi / Parilla) retired in the final heat and finished 19th in the intermediate standings. O’Neill Muth (Zanardi / Parilla) qualified in 34th position. Gillian Henrion (Tony Kart / Vortex) finally finished a good race Sunday morning and took 24th position.
