The all-new Kart Press Association formalised its creation on Saturday (July 22nd) at the top of the Dragon Tower at the Alahärmä Powerpark. This international syndicate of photographers and karting journalists proposes to defend press rights in the discipline, particularly in terms of working conditions, accommodation and catering. This meeting was facilitated by the organiser of the event and the press officer of Alahärmä, Pekka Kaidesoja, who made a room away from malicious ears available to the world’s journalistic elite.

In order to ensure quality production, photographers and karting journalists must be respected for their integrity, which requires good nutrition and frequent hydration. It will be required that future competitions take place at circuits with security guarantees and pleasant viewpoints. In addition, there is an urgent need for the use of smartphones as a camera by the public to be restricted. This is totally unfair competition that hampers good media coverage of major karting events.

More information will be published as soon as KPA members have agreed on the choice of a charismatic leader, which does not seem to be an easy task.
