A good ten karts were forced to cross the limits of the track which was increasingly slippery at the first bend after the start. Noah Milell (Kosmic / Vortex) took control while the grip was no longer optimal because of the persistent rain over Asturias.

Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) was out on the grass, but Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) led Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla) and Flavio Camponeschi (CRG / Parilla) . Milell was dropping, Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) went off at the “S” but restarted very far back. Then it was Travisanutto’s turn to disappear, and Camponeschi took 2nd 5” behind Hiltbrand, while Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla) was 3rd, followed by Glenn van Berlo (CRG / Parilla) and Luca Lippkau (Zanardi / Parilla). Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex) was delayed by a small incident a few laps in while he was 11th. The red flag was deployed on the 5th lap, as the track becoming too dangerous with slick tyres.

The race was restarted 30 minutes later on the 3rd lap, with 16 laps to go, still on slick tyres, the rain having disappeared. Hiltbrand managed to take advantage of the restart in front of Travisanutto while Joyner passed Camponeschi for 3rd place. David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) tried to overtake Van Berlo, but went out on the grass and fell to 8th. Joyner then attacked Travisanutto for 2nd place and Camponeschi also took advantage to pass for 3rd. In addition the formidable 19-place gain for Van Berlo, Ulysse De Pauw returned to 8th place with a gain of 11 places, Gianluca Petecof (CRG / Parilla) 9th +12 and Adam Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla) 10th +17 pl.

Travisnutto, then Eteki and Collet, joined Taoufik, Hauger, Bulantsev and Schumacher on the list of the drivers who retired. At 6 laps from the end Hiltbrand was 2.5″ ahead of Joyner and Camponeschi, van Berlo was 4th nearly 3′ behind, but Vidales took him for 4th. Camponeschi was increasingly threatening Joyner at the finish. But the Italian met a transmission problem a lap from the end. Hiltbrand won against Joyner, while Vidales recovered 3rd place in front of van Berlo and Lippkau.
