The youngest competitors in the 2017 Sodi World Finals , split into two weight groups, Junior Kids and Junior, started on the 1000m RKC track at the wheel of their Sodi LR5s. To conclude Heat 1, the final of the Kids was won by Alex Connor and Kamal Agha, both from Dubai Autodrome, Tom Delfosse climbing on the third step of the podium.

The Junior final was the scene of an epic battle until the finish. Leader under the flag, Christian Douven was demoted to 13th following a penalty for dangerous driving. Alexandr Vasilenko recovered the lead at the end of an 8-place climb, against Gianluca Cadoni and Lewis Appiagyei, with Mickael Mota finishing slightly disappointed in 5th place.

Meanwhile, Kevin Caprasse won the Heat 2 Super Final on the 1200m RKC track, used this time anti-clockwise, but still with the powerful Sodi RX 250. The winner of the 2013, 2015 and 2016 editions has largely dominated Nikolay Varbitzaliev, himself well detached from Horiki Sakakibara. Adrien Spinelli made a fine return from 10th to 4th position. There was disappointment for Rémy Ychard who dropped to 12th, with Sébastien Fournet having to be satisfied with 14th position.
