Connor and Vasilenko lead the Junior Cup qualifying stages

Heat 4 of the Junior Cup took place again on the 1000m track in the early evening. On Saturday, after the warm-up, it will be time to conclude the Sodi World Finals for young people during the last two races, titled the Word Master Final.

In the Kids, Benjamin Thiry managed to keep the lead of the 4th and final race of this qualifying phase. He started in front of Daniel Schepis first, then Fraser Brunton came to put pressure on him at the end of the race on his way back from 9th place. Alex Connor also moved up seven places to finish 3rd, and Tom Delfosse was 4th ahead of Tom Emson.

In the final standings, Connor holds pole with 295 points ahead of Thiry (282 pts) and Adrien Le Floch (270 pts). Delfosse (267 pts) and Brunton (265 pts) complete the top five.

Christian Douven made his mark in the day’s last junior heat against Alexandr Vasilenko. Aurélien Dasseleer finished his duel with Mickael Mota in 3rd place by only eight thousandths on the finish line. Gianluca Cadoni finished 5th by some lengths.

Vasilenko (278 pts) took 1st place in front of Mota (272 pts) and Gadoni (265 pts), Douven being ranked close in 4th position with 264 pts ahead of Tom-Felix Fusenig.
