One might think that the battle is already underway between Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Simo Puhakka (Kosmic / Vortex), both drivers thirsting for revenge after their missed results at Sarno. However, this Friday 11th May was reserved for official free practice for the European KZ Championship at Genk, so we shouldn’t get carried away.

Abbasse was very quick in the three significant sessions and finished with the fastest time of the day, 51”649, 19 thousandths faster than Puhakka, who only played his cards in the last session. Their respective teammates are not far away as Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) achieved 3rd and Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) 4th. So will there be a Sodi / Kosmic confrontation?

It is far too early to say. Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) was also fast, as was Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM) and Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM) in the second session. Andrea Dalé (CRG / TM) and Stan Pex (CRG / TM) complete the top 10 for the first time. More on Saturday 13th May at 12:05 after Qualifying.
