It is summer weather, or almost, for the Final day at La Conca for the third and penultimate round of the 2017 WSK Super Master Series. Clear sky, slight wind and a thermometer approaching 20°.

Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead in Prefinal A while Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) struggled to find his place in the tight pack. A trio was fast emerging with David Schumacher (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart / Vortex) in the wake of the leader. Three more drivers were fighting for 4th place: Tom Joyner (Zanardi / Parilla), Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Basz, followed by Caio Collet (Birel ART / TM). Schumacher gave up midrace, apparently suffering from a mechanical problem. Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex) went up to 12th in front of Noah Milell (Kosmic / Vortex) and Adam Eteki (Zanardi / Parilla). Hiltbrand managed to overtake Blomqvist for 2nd place, soon imitated by Basz, 3rd. Untouchable, Novalak won with the fastest lap and almost 4” ahead of Basz and Hiltbrand, with Blomqvist 4th, Joyner 5th, and Collet 6th. Taoufik qualified for 11th and Eteki 14th.

David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) kept the orders from Prefinal B, followed closely by Ulysse De Pauw (Kosmic / Parilla) but Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi / Parilla) and Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla) came off at the bottom of the circuit. Muizzidin Bin Abdul Gafar (DR / Parilla) gave in to the attacks of Juho Valtanen (Kosmic / Vortex) and Gianluca Petecof (Tony Kart / Vortex) and then to Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex). Petecof fell to 14th by missing his line at the chicane on lap 10. Vidales had a good gap over De Pauw, who was caught and surpassed by Pourchaire two laps from the finish. Vidales won 3.5 ” ahead of Pourchaire (+7pl), De Pauw 3rd, Valtanen 4th and Abdul Gafar 5th. Although fast, Théo Nouet (Energy / Parilla) finished 19th.
