Super Master La Conca: Superb Qualifying for Thompson in Junior

llya Morozov (Tony Kart / Vortex) long dominated the first OK-Junior Qualifying session at the WSK Super Master Series at La Conca, ahead of Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart / Vortex) and and Paul Aron (Tony Kart / Vortex) but the leader of the championship Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished with the fastest lap, 46”797, 27 mils faster, in the very last moments. Zane Maloney (FA Kart / Vortex) finished 5th and Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) 6th.

Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) dug the hole in the second session by posting a remarkable 46”479 lap before the end of the session, which secured him pole for the category. Only Kas Haverkort (CRG / Parilla) was able to narrow the gap to 0.122″ while Jonny Edgar (Exprit / TM) led the pack ahead of Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi / Parilla), Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla) and Evann Mallet (CRG / Parilla). Gillian Henrion (CRG / Parilla) had not yet managed to solve his set-up concerns and finished 15th by 7 tenths, while Loris Cabirou (Sodi / TM) had not tamed all the subtleties of the track with his 23rd time.
