OK-Junior prefinals for Rosso and Bulantsev

Andrea Rosso (Tony Kart / Vortex) did not wait until the end of the first lap to go on the attack even though Gillian Henrion (CRG / Parilla) took the lead in Prefinal A of the OK-Junior category at Castelletto. Genis Civico (FA Kart / TM), Gabriel Bortoletto (CRG / Parilla) and Ilya Morozov (Tony Kart / Vortex) were a highly motivated chasing pack behind the Frenchman. Hadrien David (Zanardi / Parilla) was 11th after a slightly complicated first lap and Jules Mettetal (Kosmic / Parilla) was trying to qualify despite a catastrophic start. Civico managed overtaking Henrion for 2nd place while Rosso took the lead. Morozov passed shortly after for 3rd position, then Bortoleto in 4th. Henrion reacted, but still lost places to the very fast Mattia Michelotto (Zanardi / Parilla), up 14 places. Rosso won by 4.4 ” with stunning times against Civico, Morozov and Michelotto, incredible 4th. Bortoleto took 5th place ahead of Henrion, who was rather annoyed. David finished 13th and Mettetal 25th after a penalty.

Jack Doohan (FA Kart / Vortex) kept control followed by Dexter Patterson (Birel ART / TM) at the start of Prefinal B, but Evann Mallet’s (CRG / Parilla) crash caused use of the “slow” procedure. The race was relaunched after the 6th time over the line. Pavel Bulantsev (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Victor Majgaard (Kosmic / Vortex) attacked Patterson immediately. Leonardo Marseglia (Zanardi / Parilla), Harry Thompson (FA Kart / Vortex) and Chris Lulham (Tony Kart / Parilla) also overtook to Patterson’s detriment. Bulantsev then joined the leader Doohan. Thompson had got the better of Marseglia for 3rd place with Lulham 5th. Bulantsev found the opening on lap 12 to overtake Doohan. Long in 11th, Loris Cabirou (Sodi / TM) gave up ground during an attack from Luca Bosco (Tony Kart / Vortex) and finished 16th. Doohan was beaten by Bulantsev, with Thompson 3rd ahead of Marseglia and Lulham, was the result of the race.
