At Lonato, Alfio Spina (CRG / Vortex) won after an epic fight against Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex) by 10 thousandths of a second. The race was first led by Bray Kenneally (Energy / Vortex) before Bedrin took over. Then Spina led the way while Dmitry Ignatov (Energy / Vortex) took 3rd place ahead of Andrey Zhivnov (Energy / Vortex) and Igor Cepil (Tony Kart / Vortex), who started 17th. Despite all his efforts, Bedrin had to settle for 2nd place. Brando Badoer (Tony Kart / Vortex) had given up early in the race, but Enzo Trulli (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 23rd after good progress over the weekend.
