The WSK Champions Cup in the 60 Mini category began with Federico Albanese (Righetti / TM) on pole position ahead of Francesco Pulito (Evokart / TM), Saood Variawa (CRG / TM), Gabriele Mini (Parolin / TM) and Alfio Spina (CRG / TM). VDK Racing driver Marcus Amand (Energy / Iame) was 17th of the 105 drivers, while Bray Kenneally (Energy / TM), the brother of European Junior Champion Finlay, had to settle for 47th.
With two wins and two 2nd places, Mini took the lead on Saturday night tied with Michael Barbaro Paparo (IPK / TM) who recovered well since his 10th in Qualifying. Pulito was 3rd in front of Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Albanese.
Amand finished off the day in 18th provisional position after not starting very well, while Kenneally went the other way to hold 26th place. Brando Badoer (Tony Kart / TM), the son of the F1 driver, was ranked 30th.
