Gianluca Petecof (CRG / Parilla) got a good start ahead of David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex). He took advantage of his position on the inside line to take 2nd in front of Victor Martins (Kosmic / Parilla) and took the lead on the second lap. Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex) and Théo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) were among the leading group. Martins took the lead on the third lap, followed by Vidales, just ahead of their pursuers. Adam Eteki (CRG / Parilla), going well, was 9th, while Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) had already gained 20 places in 14th place. Milane Petelet (Praga / TM) was in 20th position after a good start.

On lap 6, Vidales attacked and Martins found himself 5th. But the Spanish driver then dropped to 6th behind Gianluca Petecof (CRG / Parilla). Then it was Kenneally’s turn to drop back from the fight to 14th position. At the approach of mid-race, Martins was again the leader, 9 tenths ahead of Petecof, Pourchaire and Vidales. The list of retirements increased: Taoufik, Wilson, Eriksson, Bradshaw, …

While Martins escaped, Pourchaire took 2nd place in front of Vidales and Petecof. Eteki was now 7th. Vidales recovered 2nd position on the 13th of the 18 laps, and Martins extended his lead to more than 1.6”. Petecof then overcame Pourchaire by slightly cutting the line, which caused a contact. Milesi entered the top 10. Victor Martins won the World Junior Championship by crossing the finish line with a 2.3” lead over David Vidales. Théo Pourchaire was 3rd under the chequered flag ahead of Ivan Shvetsov (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Petecof. Milesi finished 9th at the end of a fantastic 25-place climb, with the fastest lap. Eteki managed to clinch 10th place in front of Kenneally, and Milane Petelet (Praga / TM) finished 18th.
