The Micro Max Prefinal started on slick tyres on track still showing traces of moisture after brief rain in the early morning. Two groups formed and overtook the pack on lap 1 and the battle started at the front between James Egozi, Diego LaRoque, Robert de Haan and Kris Haanen. Elliott Vayron made a good start and came back quickly to 6th position, while Lorenzo Cioni was stuck around 14th position. Adrian Malheiro joined in the fight for victory in 2nd position behind LaRoque, then took control. Seven drivers were together in the lead of the group. De Haan returned to 1st position in front of Egozi and Vayron, all three with one purpose and this trio got away ahead of LaRoque, Malheiro, Danill Gatich and Haanen. Vayron attacked first Egozi and then Haan a few hundred metres from the finish before being repassed by the crafty Egozi to win the race. Coming up from 13th position Vayron was a beautiful 2nd with the fastest lap ahead of Haan. LaRoque finished 4th and Malheiro 5th. The race was a bit difficult for Cioni, 15th at the chequered flag.
