Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) made the best start at the lights of the KZ Final. The best surprise came from the 3rd place occupied by Jérémy Iglesias (Sodi / TM) at the end of the first lap. Partik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) was only 5th behind Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM). Lammers and Camponeschi gave up, Pex dropped to last. De Conto overtook Iglesias under braking at the last right, while Simo Puhakka (CRG / TM) took 5th position ahead of Hajek and Davide Fore (Righetti / TM).
Ardigo, who had been faster for some time, attacked Abbasse on lap 7 and took the lead of the race. Puhakka then passed teammate De Conto and then Abbasse. The Finn then set off in pursuit of Ardigo. Hajek’s situation was not getting better after Fore and Lorenzo Camplese (Parolin / TM) overtook him. Iglesias came back to 4th and Abbasse and Puhakka joined Ardigo on the 17th of 23 laps. But the Italian did not let them intimidate him and continued to lead the race to secure the title of European Champion. Puhakka nevertheless took a beautiful 2nd ahead of De Conto, Iglesias and Abbasse with Fore 6th, Hajek 7th and Vice-Champion, while Iglesias was ranked 3rd in the European competition.
