Alexander Schmitz (Birel ART / Vortex) isn’t fighting for the title, but that doesn’t prevent him from aiming for victory at Genk. He assured his dominance by winning his three heats. He is just ahead of Alessandro Irlando (Energy / TM), twice a winner. Fabian Federer (CRG / Modena), Luca Corberi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Stan Pex (CRG / Vortex), protagonists of the European Championship with Irlando, are in 3rd, 4th and 5th places ahead of Matteo Vigano (Top Kart / Parilla ). Poleman Pierre Loubère (Sodi / Parilla) had much to do against the European heavyweights, but is still in 9th place. Dylan Davies (CRG / TM) and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 10th and 11th positions, followed by Tom Leuillet (Sodi / TM) although he was delayed in his last race. 24th place for Thomas Landais (Tony Kart / Vortex), Nicolas Picot (Tony Kart / Vortex) 31st, Paul Fontaine (Sodi / TM) 34th and Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / Vortex), who crashed twice, 37th.
