Hauger and Jewiss win the Prefinals in OK-Junior at Adria

The weather was warm on Sunday morning on the Adriatic Sea, with both sun and clouds and high humidity. The two OK-Junior starts unfolded perfectly, at moderate speeds after one formation lap, a nice change from the day before.

Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) took the lead in the OK-Junior Prefinal 1 from the first lap. Noah Watt (Tony Kart / Vortex), Ulysses De Pauw (Birel ART / Parilla) plus Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla) took turns in pursuit. Hauger seized the lead shortly before the halfway point, while Bin Abdul Gafar Mizzudin Musyaffa (DR / TM) came home in the top three. De Pauw was confronted by Watt for 4th position, while Teddy Wilson (CRG / Parilla) came back quickly with the fastest race lap and ended up overtaking Watt, in 6th. Timothy Peisselon (FA Kart / Vortex) qualified 12th after a difficult start to the race, and Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) went up to 13th.

The leader of Prefinal 2, David Vidales (Tony Kart / Vortex) was reached and surpassed on the third lap by Kiern Jewiss (Exprit / Vortex). Behind them the fight was thrilling in the chasing group. Despite his best efforts, Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex) had to give ground, Caio Collet (Birel ART / Parilla) came back to 3rd position ahead of Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart / Vortex), Dmitrii Bogdanov (FA Kart / Vortex) and Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex). Gillian Henrion (Kosmic / Vortex) and Milane Petelet (Praga / Parilla) retired early in the race. Jewiss won by a little against Vidales, Bogdanov finished 3rd in front of Collet, Taoufik and Kenneally. Victor Martins (Kosmic / Parilla) came back into the top 10, but Adam Eteki (Tony Kart / Vortex) failed in the 18th position.
