Mallet: French victory in 60 Mini at La Conca

The Frenchman Evann Mallet (CRG / TM) set the fastest time in timed qualifying in 60 Mini at the WSK Super Master at La Conca. He was followed by Gabriele Mini (Energy / TM), Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Exprit / TM), Francesco Pizzi (Energy / IAME) 4th and Paul Aron (Tony Kart / TM) 5th.

Mini took over the head in the heats, but Pizzi and Mallet followed him closely, while Michael Barbaro Paparo (IP Karting / TM) climbed from 10th to 4th position ahead of Anthony Jose Famularo (Evokart / TM). Mini won Prefinal A with a good lead over Pizzi and Famularo with Luca Griggs (Energy / IAME) 4th by 2.5 ” and Adam Putera (CRG / TM) 5th with a gain of 11 places. Mallet won in Prefinal B while Paparo managed to get his 2nd place, followed by Kirill Smal (Energy / IAME), Nicolo Cuman (Tony Kart / TM) + 9PL and Aron 5th. Jamie Day (Energy / IAME) took 6th position.

Starting the Final in the lead Mallet took advantage of the fight between Paparo and Mini to take off. Paparo returned to the leader at halfway. But Mallet drew on his resources to maintain his distance to his rival and won the race by 4.6 tenths ahead of Paparo, sounding the only Marseillaise of the weekend.
