There was great weather at Muro Leccese for the time trials of the WSK Super Master with temperatures of around 20° and a track that already had strong grip. The first OK-Junior session ran on the rubber from the 60 Minis, which is not an advantage. Noah Watt (Tony Kart / Vortex), Sami Taoufik (FA Kart / Vortex), Dmitrii Bogdanov (FA Kart / Vortex), Ulysses De Pauw (Birel ART / Parilla) and Theo Pourchaire (Kosmic / Vortex) occupied the top of the table. Watt retained the leadership with 45”990 ahead of Taoufik, with De Pauw 3rd by more than a tenth, Bogdanov 4th by over 3/10, Pourchaire 5th, Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) 6th, Timothy Peisselon (FA Kart / Vortex) 8th, and Franck Chappard (Kosmic / Vortex) 10th. The 24th time for Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart / Vortex) 1.3” from the provisional pole revealed a problem.
In the second session the quick laps were posted even later than in the first. Dennis Hauger (CRG / Parilla), David Vidales (Energy / TM) and Leonardo Marseglia (Tony Kart / Vortex) were the fastest before the final rush of the last lap. Fin Kenneally (FA Kart / Vortex) set the fastest time – 46”283 – ahead of Vidales, Hauger and Giuseppe Fusco, then Oscar Piastri (FA Kart / Vortex) took 5th position. Victor Martins (Kosmic / Parilla) finished 11th, and Pierre-Louis Chovet (CRG / Parilla) did well in 17th place on his debut in OK-Junior after leaving Cadet.
The pole remains in Watt’s (Baby Race) possession, whose performance was even more remarkable that it was achieved in the first session, faster than the second in the end.
