Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter) was the first to go under 45” in the first KZ-KZ2 qualifying session at La Conca. His time of 44”993 was also unbeaten, but Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex), Patrik Hajek (Kosmic / Vortex) and Jérémy Iglesias (Sodi / TM) were not far away. Jorrit Pex (CRG / Vortex) finished 5th by a tenth from the leader ahead of Marcus Armstrong (Tony Kart / Vortex).
Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla), Davide Fore (Righetti / TM) and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (Birel ART / Parilla) were the first to raise the tempo of the second session. Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) threw in the towel early, with a broken chain. Flavio Camponeschi (CRG / Parilla) twice lapped under the 45” and took pole position with 44”899, one tenth faster than Lennox-Lamb, then Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) was in 3rd place ahead of Pescador and Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM), both two tenths off pole.
