Everyone was waiting for the starts of the first races in the WSK Champions Cup at Adria, closely or with apprehension. The Race Director Alessandro Ferrari’s smile summed up the situation after the first two heats for OK and OK-Junior.

We can indeed say that everything went without any particular incident. All karts started without problem from the dummy grid and passed the mouth of the pit lane. Two practice laps were systematically planned and the start was then given, as in any kart race.

On track, the battle is very tight, with good overtaking and spectacular braking. At first, engines look very close to each other. There were some spoilers unhooked, but a very reasonable amount for the start to the season. The first impression is quite positive and it should only get better with a bit of experience from all sides.
