Alex the surprise winner of the Senior Prefinal against Besler

The start of the Senior Prefinal was at very low speed, but Edward Brand went wide at the end of the straight and dropped to 27th, while Pierce Lehane did not complete the first lap. Alex led from Jordan Sheratt, Berkay Besler and Christopher Dreyspring. Sheratt attacked Alex on lap 5 and Dreyspring took 2nd and Bruno Borlido 3rd. Besler was 5th behind Alex. Emmanuel Reviriault and Arnaud Sarrazin fought over 18th position, gaining three places.

Dreyspring, very fast, took control by mid-race with Sheratt on his bumper, several lengths ahead of their pursuers. In 3rd position, Borlido followed closely then came Leonard Hoogenboom. Besler was distanced in 5th. Sheratt took the lead on lap 10, Dreyspring responded. The top four were together and there was a clash with four laps to go. Alex returned to the lead ahead of Besler and Sheratt, but Borlido and Hoogenboom dropped back in the incident. Alex finally won against Besler, Petr Bezel took 3rd place, Lucas Selliken 4th and Sheratt 5th ahead of Luc Willemse. It was a beautiful race for Reviriault who finished 11th, Dreyspring was 12th, and Sarrazin finished 15th ahead of Brand who recovered well.
