At the end of the penultimate round on Spanish soil, the Kami Laliberté’s balance sheet of the race weekend is more than positive. After the round at Magny-Cours in early September, this was by far the best run he has done since the beginning of the season. We could see all the work done so far which brought him 25 points, propelling him to 8th in the overall standings with a total of 102 points.

From free practice onwards, the Canadian driver was not slow to make an impression on his potential rivals. Indeed, the qualifying session was highly competitive and he took 5th position overall.
In the first of the three scheduled races, Kami made a very good start and wasn’t intimidated by his closest pursuers, perfectly managing this battle at the front of the field. He took the chequered flag in 4th.
With the principle of reverse grid in Race 2, Kami started on the fourth row. The race promised to be more complicated and with faster times than drivers ahead of him, he took 10th place, showing excellent racing skills.
The last race would allow Kami to fully express himself. He made an excellent start that propelled him to 4th place straight away, a position he would retain until the checkered flag.
The Spanish meeting allowed Kami to move up two positions in the provisional classification of the Championship. He is already preparing for his next appointment at the Paul Ricard Circuit at Le Castellet in the GT Tour on 23rd, 24th and 25th October.

Kami Laliberté: “I have continued my improvement and my momentum from the Magny Cours event, and I am more and more satisfied with the work I do. The Navarra event allowed me to race at the forefront again, but I’m disappointed not to have been able to take a podium. This goal was achievable in Race 3, because I was much faster than Gabriel Aubry, but I made a mistake that cost me a place on the podium. I look forward to enjoying the last round at Le Castellet to achieve new podiums and I want my first win!
