The clouds had begun to fill the sky over La Conca for the Prefinal of the 2015 KF World Championship, but the weather was still good. The stakes may seem relatively low, just the position on the grid for the Final, however, the race didn’t lack intensity.

Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 4th after the start, so Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex) quickly escaped ahead of Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) and Tom Joyner (Zanardi / TM). Nielsen hurried to catch his “friend” Joyner, who didn’t make it easy. Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla) attacked Martijn Van Leeuwen attack (CRG / TM) and Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) to take 5th position. Nielsen might have been content with a 3rd place from the perspective positions for the final, but the return of Joyner and Hanley pushed him to attack shortly after halfway. Joyner and Lennox-Lamb immediately passed Hanley, less competitive than at the start of the race. Basz continued his triumphant march with faster times, but Nielsen responded from the 13th of 17 laps, as did Joyner. Basz was more than two seconds ahead of Nielsen, followed by 0.244” by Joyner. Lennox-Lamb finished 4th, Hanley 5th, Verschoor 6th and Van Leeuwen 7th.
