Genk: Buys dominates the Academy Trophy prefinal

After a good start despite the limited grip, Xavier Lloveras Brunet led the prefinal of the Academy Trophy ahead of Marta Garcia Lopez and Murilo Della Coletta. Alejandro Lopez Lahoz dropped to 4th place. The duel intensified at the front between Garcia and Lloveras who were now clearly detached. The French were back in the top 10 with Theo Nouet and Enzo Coursimault in 8th and 10th. Dylan Buys then climbed to 3rd place ahead of Callum Bradshaw, while Lopez Lahoz continued to lose ground. Buys grabbed 2nd position at the halfway stage.

Alfie Brown made a big gain into the top 10 with 20 places regained. As might be expected, Buys took the lead of the race on lap 8 and Nouet entered the top five. It was a great victory for Buys in front of Lloveras Brunet and Garcia Lopez, with Bradshaw 4th, Nouet 5th and Brown 6th (23 places gained), Michelangelo Amendola 7th (21 places gained) and Coursimault 8th.
