The races have not been very exciting in KZ and KZ2 on a difficult track like this at Genk on hard tyres. Overtaking is rare after the first lap and the performance gaps are reduced. While 5 out of 10 qualifying heats have been completd at Genk, three drivers are neck and neck at the top of the provisional rankings with a total of two points each, Alexander Schmitz (Tony Kart / Vortex), Joel Johansson (Energy / TM) and Felice Tiene (CRG / Maxter). The Poleman Stan Pex (Intrepid / TM), with two 2nd places, is tied with Alessio Piccini (Tony Kart / Vortex), with a win and a 4th place. Also victorious, Jorge Pescador (Praga / Parilla) took 6th place with the same score as Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart / Vortex), twice 3rd.

Nicolas Gonzales (Sodi / TM) moved up into the top 10, and Thomas Laurent (Tony Kart / Vortex) is struggling in 12th position. Maik Siebecke (CRG / Modena) is gradually returning to the game after his distant qualifying. After a good comeback in his first heat, Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / Maxter) may have lost the title in a clash that caused his retirement in his second heat.
