Under a dark gray sky pierced by occasional sunlight, the KF-Junior qualifying sessions began on Friday, June 19 at PFI. In the first group, Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / Parilla) and Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex) competed to top the standings along with Presley Martono (Tony Kart / Vortex), Konsta Lappalainen (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM). Lappalainen finished 1st with a time of 55”117 ahead of Martono, Lindh, Novalak and Sun Yue Yang (FA Kart / Vortex), 5th with 0″146′.

In the 2nd session, Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) confronted Alex Quinn (CRG / Parilla) and Isac Blomqvist (Tony Kart / Vortex). Eventually Sargeant set the fastest lap with 55”481, 88 thousandths from Quinn and 93 thousandths from Blomqvist. In the final moments Ivan Shvetsov (Tony Kart / Vortex) took 4th position and Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) 5th. Finishing prematurely, Ulysses De Pauw (BirelART / Parilla) was only 8th. This session was significantly slower than the first.

The positions took a long time to settle during the third and final session. The positions changed with each pass, but the goal times were still far from the first session, despite the energy of the drivers on the track. Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) finished 1st – 55”545 – a tenth ahead of Bent Viscaal (Tony Kart / Parilla), Mikhail Simonov (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 3rd, Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex) 4th and Oscar Piastri (Kosmic / Parilla) 5th. Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) finished in 7th place while Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) could barely stay in the top 10 after a thunderous start to the session.

The drop in temperature affected the 2nd session more than the last, and the first was still the fastest with pole position for Lappalainen in front of Marton, Lindh, Novalak and Yue Yang. The to French driver was Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) in 9th, then Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) 24th, Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) 32nd, Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) 45th and Franck Chappard (Praga / Parilla) 53th. With injured ribs, Lucas Légeret (BirelART / Parilla) preferred to give up.
