Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) went ahead in the KZ Prefinal at the European Championship at Zuera with Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) in pursuit. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) lost ground up to 6th place before returning to the attack. Dreezen, Lundberg and Carlton retired prematurely. Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) took 3rd position to return to his teammate Kozlinski who retired, with a mechanical problem on the third lap.

Camponeschi took the opportunity to get away ahead of a chasing pack led by Abbasse ahead of Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla) and Ardigo. Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) took 5th place ahead of Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) and Paolo De Conto (CRG / Maxter). The fastest driver on the track, Ardigo passed Lennox-Lamb on lap 8 to gain 3rd place. The world champion put pressure on Abbasse and passed him on the penultimate lap, but received a warning flag. Victory went to Camponeschi, 1.3″ ahead of Ardigo and Abbasse, with Lennox-Lamb 4th and Hanley 5th. Hajek was 6th, Jorrit Pex (Intrepid / TM) 7th, and De Conto 8th.
