The weather was beautiful this Saturday at Zuera, the heat of the sun tempered by a moderate wind blowing in the area. It was often the start and the first few laps which decided the order, and the race finishes were rarely exciting.
There was a chaotic start in the first heat, AB, where Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) and Simo Puhakka (CRG / Maxter) crashed and returned to the pits, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) was 8th after a 360 in the air. Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) dominated the race and set the fastest lap ahead of Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM), and Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) in 3rd. Abbasse came back to 4th position with a best lap identical to that of Ardigo.
In the second heat Arnaud Kozlinski (Sodi / TM) made the best start ahead of Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex), but the Italian quickly took the lead, followed by Andrea Dale (CRG / Maxter). 4th on the first lap, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) was then overtaken by Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART / Parilla). It was a clear victory for Camponeschi, and the fastest lap was posted by Bas Lammers (Formula K / Parilla) in 7th after a difficult start to the race.
Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart / Vortex) had gone ahead of the third and final heat, AC, but Marco Ardigo (Tony Kart / Vortex) wanted the win and he got it. Kozlinski was able to overcome Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) early on to take 3rd place ahead of the British driver, while Jorrit Pex (Intrepid / TM) overtook Patrik Hajek (Praga / Parilla) for 5th position.
In the intermediate ranking, Ardigo is in front ahead of his team-mate Camponeschi while Hanley ranks 3rd ahead of Kozlinski and Abbasse with Hajek 6th, Lennox-Lamb 7th, Pex 8th, Dale 9th and Lundberg 10th.
