The geographical erosion phenomenon is also affecting national and international karting entries. So for the 2nd round of the European KZ2 and KZ Championship, the loss was 20 drivers from the opening round at Sarno, which already didn’t have an especially large number of entries.

In KZ there were 22 drivers instead of the 26 at Sarno: Jérémy Iglesias is missing due to a change of chassis supplier that isn’t yet effective and Kristijan Habulin is at home due to impending fatherhood. Gary Carlton is now racing a DR / Modena.

In KZ2 there are 44 instead of the 60 at Sarno. As in KZ with Iglesias, Marco Zanchetta, Nicolas Gonzales and Paul Fontaine cannot race at Zuera due to lack of equipment. There are five wild cards, including three French drivers Thomas Mich (BirelART / TM), Maxime Roy (BirelART / TM) and Eric Ramon (TB Kart / Modena).

With 50 of the 51 drivers entered present, the Academy Trophy will be the biggest category of the Spanish event.

The schedules have been adapted to the situation and qualifying will take place on Saturday morning from 10:20 to 12:00. The heats, all of them, will take place on Saturday afternoon between 12:50 ET and 6:05 p.m. On Sunday, May 24th, 9:35 to 10:15 will be the repechages, prefinals will be from 11:20 to 12:30 and the finals 1:15 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.. There you go.
