According to the unofficial Kartcom intermediate classification and awaiting possible penalties that are slow to be announced, Ben Hanley (Croc Promotions / TM) leads KF at Portimao thanks to three consecutive wins on Saturday, under the hot sun of the Algarve. 2nd position goes to Felice Tiene (CRG / Parilla), with two wins on the scoreboard, and Alexander Vartanyan (Tony Kart / Vortex), who won one race. Tom Joyner (Zanardi / TM) collected 2nd places and is in 4th place ahead of Marcu Dionisios (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart / Vortex), both tied in 7th, then Karol Basz (Kosmic / Vortex). Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart / Vortex) has hardly been able to shine this Saturday running in around 5th place, which puts him 8th in front of Casper Roes (FA Kart / Vortex) and Hannes Janker (CRG / Parilla ).
Benjamin Lessennes (CRG / Parilla) was 15th after being pushed unintentionally in his second race, Aatu Moilanen (Tony Kart / Vortex) is 19th after a difficult first round and Alexander Gadois (Kosmic / Parilla) finished in a very respectable 20th place . Juri Vips (FA Kart / Vortex) retirement in the first heat cost him dearly with 25th, and Yohan Sousa (Zanardi / TM) deserved better than 27th. Oliver Hodgson (Kosmic / Vortex) finished the day with a flip and a 29th place putting him in the repechage if the classification remains as it is. It was a very disappointing Saturday for Richard Verschoor (Exprit / Vortex) who has finished in a distant 36th.
