Euro KFJ Portimao: first pole for Worship

Caio Collet (Kosmic / Vortex) set the fastest time, 58”267, in the first timed session for KF-Junior, taking the lead that had long been occupied by Teddy Wilson (Tony Kart / Vortex) by 8 thousandths in the last few metres. Presley Martono (Tony Kart / Vortex) was 3rd ahead of Milane Petelet (Kosmic / Parilla) and Konsta Lappalainen (Tony Kart / Vortex). Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart / Vortex) only took 6th position, and the disappointment was even greater for Rasmus Lindh (Ricciardo / Parilla) in 13th, Artem Petrov (DR / TM) 16th and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Tony Kart / Vortex) 19th.

Kenny Roosens (Kosmic / Parilla) was the fastest of the second session, 58’188, in front of Antonio Serravalle (Tony Kart / Vortex) from Ward Racing, Charles Milesi (Tony Kart / Vortex) and Clement Novalak (Tony Kart / Vortex). In 5th position, Kush Maini (Tony Kart / Vortex) of Forza Racing was followed by the amazing Oscar Piastri (Kosmic / Parilla) at Ideal Kart. It was an average result for Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic / Vortex) in 10th, Lucas Légeret (BirelART / Parilla) 12th and frankly disappointing for Logan Sargeant (FA Kart / Vortex) in 17th.

Sami Worship (FA Kart / Vortex) of RFM finally took pole position from the third session in the final seconds with a time of 58’118 which also proved to be the pole position in the category. Ulysse De Pauw (BirelART / Parilla), who had dominated until then, finished second by 0, 075”, Sebastian Persson (Tony Kart / Vortex) from Ward Racing 3rd ahead of Noah Watt (FA Kart / Vortex) from RFM and Milen Ponomarenko ( Tony Kart / LKE) from Komarov. Marta Garcia (FA Kart / TM) finished 9th in the group, Timothy Peisselon (BirelART / Parilla) 13th and Tom Leuillet (BirelART / Parilla) 15th.

The pole position therefore goes to Worship ahead of Roosens, De Pauw 4th, then Watt 5th ahead of Wilson and Collet.
